The Entertainment Network
The Entertainment Network, or TEN as it's staff have coined it, is a new virtual network that aims to bring you only the best virtual entertainment you can get on the net. Headlining the network is Charmed Reset Reality, a hugely popular Charmed virtual continuation, which already has two seasons worth backstory.
Also airing will be Gifted and Allenwood, two shows by Dave Kohler, both about teenagers facing supernatural does but in largely different worlds. One features an ensemble cast wheras the other focuses on a teenage girl, one of the many Vampire Slayers summoned by Willow Rosenburg's spell in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer finale "Chosen".
TEN has originally conceived as the rebirth of old virtual series network the OVN, or the Online Virtual Network, however we felt it was wrong to continue the network without the original admin, William, on board as he hasn't been heard of in a long while. Therefore, we came up with TEN, and moved shows such as Afterwards, Angelic Secrets and Gifted: The Series over from the OVN to our new network.
TEN is run by a group of people, instead of one head honcho like other Virtual Networks. Each of us has a role in keeping the network alive.
Dave Kohler is the showrunner of both Allenwood and Gifted, but in his spare time he does work ont he websites, and is our main graphic man. Everything you see on our site or forum is usually his, including most of the skins. He's also a fantastic writer, penning the majority of Gifted and Allenwood by himself. He's also a great person.
Daniel Taylor is the showrunner of highly succesfull Charmed virtual continuation Charmed Reset Reality, which is syndicated at this network. Dan is very much a community man, interested on helping the community have fun. He also helps tackle the pitch area and helps newbies on their way to getting their show picked up. He also helps with the skins on the forum, flashing of his graphic work.
Tom East is the person who manages the forum by keeping everyone in check, keeping the place active and updating everyone on the news. Although lacking in the graphics area, Tom also helps with the longwinded speeches and other things of the sort, such as this. Although he isn't showrunning anything in the current season, due to his previous attempts being shelved, Tom is heading the anticipated Audio Series Doctor Who Audio, which is due to hit the network in 2009.
Various other people have helped contribute to the Network, including, but not limited to:
Brent, a showrunner from the old OVN and the website manager. He helped Dave on the original website, which unfortunately fell through. He's become inactive as of late due to real life, but his skill in the Virtual Series world is not doubted. He ran two seasons of The Empacatipation Sisters back on the OVN and a season of Afterwards. He had planned to bring Afterwards to TEN, but after writing the season opener, he lost the drive to write it and the project was shelved.
Vinny, a MZP regular helped the Network improve by giving it a newbie's insight on how confusing it was compared to other networks, and what needs to be improved of. A great help, albeit only for a short while.
And the most unsuspecting of the lot, the people at MZP. Why? They set the mold for Virtual Networks, and without them, none of us would be here today, so we've got to thank them for something - and I personally don't think I could live without all you wonderful people in my life!
Lots of thanks,
The TEN Staff.
